A soft-serve synth, ripped straight from a child’s keyboard, backs the distinctive voices of Injury Reserve in this new remix from current tour-buddy Taylor Skye.
Leaked online from tour-exclusive CDRs via an eager fan, Skye reworks the ominous on-off of the original into a track brave enough to autotune its way to a pop climax. The knotty opener of Injury Reserve’s 2019 self-titled album melts into a chorus backed by trap handclaps and aforementioned synth. Like his own output, Taylor Skye unlocks harmonies from the most difficult of puzzles.
The 6 other tracks make similarly light work of Injury Reserve’s aggression. The trio and Taylor tour Europe together until the end of the month.
