What’s New? Gus Dapperton – My Favourite Fish

Gus Dapperton has been making waves in the music industry since the release of his debut EP in 2017, and has followed up his previous single ‘World Class Cinema’ with the beautifully sweet track ‘My Favourite Fish’.

This romantic, sparkly release is enough to make anyone pine for a slow dance with their secret crush. The track opens with the instantly recognisable voice of Dapperton, and picks up the groove by the end of the first chorus. Love has often been a focal point for his lyrics, and it’s a recurring theme with the eccentric frontman singing “You’re my favourite fish, I don’t usually fall in love”. He’s always had a penchant for releasing songs you’d expect to find in an indie rom-com, and this is no exception; filling you with a sense of hope and the urge to confess your love to your own favourite fish.

With his debut album Where Polly People Go To Read set for release in April, ‘My Favourite Fish’ gives us a taste of what we can expect from the album, we think it’ll definitely be worth a listen…
