Interpol‘s upcoming release Marauder is arguably one of this years most anticipated albums. After the announcement of the band’s first album in 4 years, we were also treated to the electrifying track ‘The Rover’ which offered a small and very promising look into the band’s 6th album.
Today, the New York group share more with the release of the album’s second single ‘Number 10’. The track is (no surprises) the tenth track on the album, and gives us yet more clues on what lies within Marauder.
As smart and polished as ‘The Rover’, it offers more of the classic Interpol style and swagger that we’ve come to recognise over the years. The opening of the song includes a riff that sounds like it could have come straight from the Turn On The Bright Lights/ Antics era of the band. Energetic and electrifying as well as relatively catchy, ‘Number 10’ is the perfect follow up to the lead single.
Marauder is out everywhere on August 31st via Matador Records. Pre-order here.
