One of our main highlights at this years The Great Escape festival, was the soothing tones of Alexander Biggs, relieving the stress of a hectic journey down to Brighton.
From the other side of the globe in sunny Melbourne, Alex is an artist with a clear vision for his sound. Despite his formative years as a songwriter, his music sounds like that of a vastly experienced musician with a grounded lyrical content. His previous releases ‘Out in The Dark’ & ‘Tidal Wave’ have taken his sound far away from down under, with emphatic support from Rolling Stone and BBC Radio 1.
The latest effort from the enigmatic Aussie artist is ‘Car Ride’ and instantly fans of Bon Iver and James Vincent McMorrow are sure to be pleased with what they hear. It’s an audible hug with influences of folk, acoustic and songwriter pop – Incorporating a contemporary electronica production.
