What’s New? NADINE – Pews

Entering with a simple, programmed beat and blossoming into an off-kilter ballad, the new track from trio NADINE is a beautiful Kate Bush-indebted paean. Brought to us via TMB label crush Father/Daughter & Memphis Industries, ‘Pews’ is the next cut from debut album oh my and arrives with an intriguing video ahead of a US tour.

Sparse, distorted synths and spiralling patterns work to back an entrancing vocal performance in the vein of purveyor of wonky pop Deradoorian, or a slick take on the pastoral appeal of Gwenno. While paying tribute to those before, NADINE style their own modern and distinct voice, and are ready to spread their sophisticated, modern brand of pop further afield.
