Interpol unveil electrifying new single ‘The Rover’ and announce new album

One of New York’s most Iconic and influential bands, Interpol, are back. After nearly 4 years since their previous record El Pintor, the indie-rock revival lords have shared news on their forthcoming 6th album.

Marauder is expected to arrive on August 24th via Matador Records. The album was unveiled at a press conference in Mexico City, with the band livestreaming a mural of the album artwork within the city. A press conference followed where Interpol shared details of the album, and spoke to members of the press and fans.

The band also shared the first single from the record ‘The Rover’. A fast paced and electrifying single, the track follows in the post-punk sounds of Interpol, with the band seemingly playing it safe with their sound. Is this a bad thing? Absolutely not. ‘The Rover’ is a fantastic addition to their discography and shows that the band have the energy and passion to continue writing brilliantly engaging and powerful rock songs that grab you through every second. If this song is anything to go by, we could be looking at one of the albums of the year.
