Manchester four-piece Dantevilles have been kicking up a storm around our great city recently. It’s not the 90s anymore and it’s hard to find the next big thing without a brimming ‘scene’ – but Dantevilles have and will undoubtedly continue to cut through the drivel with their soulful take on indie rock. And this new single is a clear indicator for that…
Success so far for the band has come in the form of sold out headline shows, a main stage slot at Kendal Calling and support from BBC Introducing and Radio X with hopefully much more to come. ‘Daydreamer’, released via Manchester label Heist or Hit (Her’s/Pizzagirl), is the latest in top quality alternative singles from the band following ‘The Fighter’, ‘It Might Be Tomorrow’ and ‘Blackjack’ to complete their forthcoming debut self-titled EP – released 11th May. Produced by Joe Cross (Hurts, Courteeners), ‘Daydreamer’ is fleshed out with funk-ridden basslines and brazen vocals to get your hips grooving.
See what the band had to say about the track below:
“Daydreamer is about spending a short time detaching ourselves from our surroundings and opening our minds. The idea of escaping reality through a daydream, all without anybody ever knowing where we've been.”
