After debuting with the wonky psych-trip ‘Bamzooki‘ in January, the Leeds quartet Uncle Buzzard return today with another taste from upcoming EP Origami Boy with the title track, premiering below.
Sounding more relaxed than we’ve heard them before, falsetto vocals trace lazy patterns over mellow chords and an acrobatic bassline. Glittering synths waltz over an elaborate and extensive metaphor casting the protagonist as made of paper, and the track leaves us yearning for the warm rays of summer.
The lounge-jazz indie-rock of ‘Origami Boy’ is the 4-piece’s perfect calling card. Origami Boy EP is out in May via Bowl Cut Records.
