Holy smokes! Shit just got incredibly real on the Arctangent 2018 lineup with 2 UK festival exclusives.
Glassjaw and Shellac will be headlining the Friday and Saturday respectively at the 6th iteration of the Bristol-based extravaganza that focuses on the outer reaches of rock and metal from all corners of the world. This will be both bands’ only UK festival appearances this year, and will be Glassjaw‘s first UK appearance since releasing their first album in 15 years, Material Control, in December last year.
The craziness refuses to end there. Also announced are the immensely popular La Dispute, and French post-metal veterans Alcest. The festival also branches out into more experimental and jazz-based outfits, including the gospel-twinged Zeal & Ardor and Japanese piano and drums 2-piece Mouse On The Keys.
Pelican will also be making an exclusive UK appearance at the festival, and both Conjurer and Pijn will be performing a collaborative set on the Thursday, which will have a significantly increased number of bands playing. The festival will also see opening up of the main Arc Stage on Thursday, instead of only on the Friday and Saturday.
Check out the full announcement below, and get your tickets before I buy them all myself. I am a selfish, selfish man.
Arctangent Festival will take place at Fernhill Farm near Bristol on August 16-18.
