If you needed any further proof that hip-hop is the new rock, then take a look at the first names for Reading and Leeds, announced today.
Kendrick Lamar, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and Kings Of Leon are set to headline the three-day event, taking place in its usual August Bank Holiday weekend slot. Past years have seen the event expand out from its signature heavy rock line-up and 2018 looks to continue the trend. Alongside the impressive (if slightly bewildering) headliners are a fine smorgasbord of acts set to appeal to eclectic tastes: indie-punks Dream Wife, hip-hop boyband Brockhampton and Spanish stars Hinds are all also scheduled to appear throughout the weekend.
If you’re not put off by the thought that Panic! At The Disco are still apparently relevant enough to headline a festival in 2018 (or insulted that Kendrick has to share their slot), there’s something for everyone at Reading and Leeds.
