Hinds are ‘New For You’, introduce second album

After teasing new material on social media, Spanish garage-rock 4 piece Hinds return today with new single ‘New For You’, the first cut from their highly-anticipated second album I Don’t Run. Last sighted back in 2016, finishing an extensive world tour in support of debut Leave Me Alone, the band recorded the follow-up last year with Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor), while also finding time to record the soundtrack for Cars 3 and release a standalone cover of Kevin Ayers‘ ‘Caribbean Moon’.

The new track continues where the band left off: warm garage-pop guitars, breezy melodies and an unrivalled lo-fi groove. Turning their lyrical attention away from party anthems, the new track finds joint frontwomen Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote deep in self-criticism, revealing a fragile side to the band previously disguised with cigarettes and alcohol. ‘New For You’ makes at least one thing clear in the run up to I Don’t Run: Hinds are marching to the beat of their own drum.

Listen to ‘New For You’ below. I Don’t Run is expected April 6th via Lucky Number and is available to pre-order here.
