What’s New? Queen Zee – ‘Idle Crown’

Fresh off the back of touring with fellow upstarts Cabbage, Queen Zee have released new single ‘Idle Crown’. Opening like an experimental 80s chart smash and rounding off with industrial garage-glam in the vein of early Marilyn Manson, the track covers a lot of ground in its 3-minute running time.

Lyrically, it sees the group take aim at heteronormativity via a toxic relationship which fittingly complements their outspokenly political agenda – Liverpool’s working class and the LGBT+ community are much more exciting than the city’s otherwise ‘stagnant’ scene they’re sat in. Queen Zee are making noise and giving no fucks – that idle crown won’t last long if this rowdy group get anywhere near it.
