Sometimes life calls for a career change – and that’s sort of what raucous duo Morning Smoke have gone and done. Moving away from post-punk and into the realm of shogeaze, Milo and Max have created all things dreamy under new moniker Method Actress – and their debut single is not to be ignored.
With gorgeous melodies and hazy guitars, ‘Mistress’ is the product of inspirations ranging from Wild Nothing to the burgeoning Brighton scene it was created in. Recorded by Theo Verney, it’s a stunning first release that’s melancholy and mournful, tranquil and beautiful.
