As South London’s output continues to reign over the new music scene, breakthrough five-piece Milk Disco have dropped an explosive new tune that’s bound to snarl its way into your head.
Kicking off with some unamused vocals and a deadpan beat, ‘Weekender’ eventually erupts into a catalyst of jarring guitars and raw screams. It’s a little bit Shame, a little bit LCD Soundsystem – but most importantly, it’s a blinding release that’s cemented Milk Disco as one of the UK’s most exciting newbies.
In a chat with Clash, Milk Disco explain the inspiration behind the track: “‘Weekender’ is about joining in with people at the end of the working week and feeling unhappy with your life.
