Canshaker Pi are fautless on slacker single ‘Pressure From Above’

Canshaker Pi are unstoppable. The Holland quartet won our hearts back with 2016’s stunning self-titled debut – and now they’re back with a new track that’ll totally blow your mind.

Produced by Stephen Malkmus, ‘Pressure From Above’ is Pavement through-and-through. With stuttering guitars, beautiful chords and deadpan vocals, it’s an insanely good tune that’s definitely going to be the best thing you hear all month.

On the track, singer/guitarist Willem Smit explains: “Pressure From Above embodies the loneliness of being in large groups of people at night. Staying in bars too long on a daily basis resulting in a feeling of progresslessness”. 

Finishing one tour with Spiral Stairs and heading out with The Cribs next month, it’s been a mental year for Canshaker Pi. Let’s hope 2018 brings them even more success:
