Pinegrove drop beautiful new track ‘Intrepid’ – and you need to listen now

After sophomore album Cardinal earned them staggering 2016 success, New Jersey’s Pinegrove have dropped another beautiful song that you need to hear immediately.

A hauntingly bittersweet tune, ‘Intrepid’ is the product of summer recording sessions that were crammed between a constant slew of live dates for the band. It’s a languid paean to long-distance relationships and the personal growth that results from them, made only more ethereal by sublime vocals that perfectly harmonise.

On the track’s inspiration, frontman Evan Stephens Hall explains: “One of the things this album explores is the emotional and creative experience of geometric space. ‘Intrepid’, in particular, considers distance and the outer rim of the magnet’s pull; how the size of the world can bring our personal relationships into focus”. Listen below – and grab tickets to Pinegrove’s 2018 UK tour dates:
