PREMIERE: Alien Tango – War House / The Box

You only need to glance over the careers of Hinds, The Parrots and Baywaves to realise that Spain is fast becoming the go-to country if you’re looking for some of the freshest music the industry has to offer. And joining this list of greats is none other than Alien Tango – a sizzling Spanish outfit that’s fast rose to prominence with 2016’s insatiable Supernatural Mango EP, and by hitting the stages of Primavera Sound and Benicàssim on 2017’s festival circuit,

Murcia-born, Valencia-bred Aitite is the man behind ‘War House / The Box’ – the last preview of the band’s forthcoming EP with Barcelona’s Foehn Records. Self-produced and recorded with vintage instruments, cartoon samples and body noises (yep), the track’s the rawest you’ve seen Alien Tango yet. A nostalgic post-indie gem that has all the dreamy guitar chords and handclaps you could ever want, it channels the same energy as previous single ‘Sexy Time’ – June’s disco extravaganza that instantly won over Spain with its infectious melody and unclassifiable aesthetic.

Refreshing, insane and undeniably extra-terrestrial, Alien Tango are set to take over planet Earth. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

WAR HOUSE / THE BOX IS OUT 06/10 VIA FOEHN RECORDS:
