Westerman is different. There – we said it. It’s difficult in an industry so saturated with talent to find someone who’s able to bring something new to the table – but our favourite West Londoner has done it again.
‘Keep Track’ channels the same beauty of previous release ‘Lie’; idiosyncratic guitar chords lay out a soothing backdrop for Westerman to question the human urge for self-documentation. “Is it right to lay it all out like that?” he asks, his crooning vocals throwing our generations’ need for digital approval under the spotlight.
Taken from the upcoming Call and Response EP out this Friday, ‘Keep Track’ is just another example of how Westerman can effortlessly craft intrinsic beauty with his songwriting.
