He’s been gigging since the tender age of 14, worked with the likes of Stooshe, Charlie Brown and Delta Maid, and is currently playing guitar worldwide for Brit-soul sensation Michael Kiwanuka – but today, it’s time for Michael Jablonka to step into the spotlight and be recognised for his own unique brand of infectious funk-infused rock.
‘Peacefully’ is the 27-year-old Londoner’s debut release through Lost in the Manor – and what a fucking release it is. True to its rousing sense of urgency, ‘Peacefully’ erupts with a crunching distorted riff that catapults you straight into the guitarist’s Hendrix-inpsired world. Husky vocals and an anthemic bassline make these three minutes impossible to ignore; don’t be surprised if you’re reaching for the replay button.
On the track’s inspiration, Jablonka says: “‘Peacefully’ is about separating yourself from a rough situation. Everyone is constantly in need of escapism.”
Produced by Ben ‘BJ’ Jackson at NXNE Studios in London, it’s evident that ‘Peacefully’ is the work of an ridiculously talented artist putting a wealth of experience to good use. Keen to blaze his own trail in the music industry, Michael Jablonka’s ability to pen bangers such as this will ensure that his name doesn’t remain under the radar for any longer.
