PREMIERE: Farebrother – Rewind

They’ve supported The Amazons and Beach Baby, played with the likes of Flyte and Tempesst, and kicked off the 2017 festival circuit by hitting Dot to Dot earlier in the year. But now, it’s time for the spotlight to focus on BBC Introducing faves Farebrother – and their sublime new video for their latest release.

‘Rewind’ is the second single from debut EP Rapture, and marks a significant step in progression for the Bath quartet in terms of its maturity. Bursting with falling guitar riffs, passionate lyrics and an explosive chorus, the track showcases a huge sound remarkable for such a new outfit.

On the song’s inspiration, frontman Tom Hunt explains: Rewind was written about, and influenced by, very cruel realities of certain relationships, and how your mind can create new anxieties to poison feelings of a very opposite nature. It really highlights how dangerous people can be to themselves, for the cause and reason of entirely contrary emotions.”

Recorded at the prestigious Rockfield Studios (Oasis, The Pixies, Royal Blood), it’s clear that ‘Rewind’ is about to establish Farebrother as one of the UK’s most exciting young bands. Watch the accompanying video below – and grab your copies of the track ASAP:
