It’s boiling. It’s sweaty. It’s the first official day of summer! So we’ve found your new seasonal anthem – and it’s in the form of Aussie-born, Berlin-based Parcels, who’ve channeled the storming sunshine and stifling heatwave on their latest banger.
Released just in time for their Glastonbury performance this weekend, ‘Overnight’ is the funky 70’s throwback you’ve been waiting all year for. Laced with dreamy vocals and groovy basslines, it’s youthful and fresh, effortless and infectious. Co-written and produced by French electro royalty Daft Punk a few months previous, the duo have worked seamlessly alongside Parcels to push the Aussie boys’ talent without taking away any of that original magic that we so loved on 2016’s Hideout EP.
Syncopated, groovy and ridiculously cool, Parcels are going to become your latest obsession. They’re touring the UK later this year; if you’re not there, you’re doing something wrong.
