Blog favourites and Chester’s finest girl trio Peaness hit The Castle on Tuesday for their first ever Mancunian headline show. With their Alcopop! signing already earning them a place on mulitple ‘Watch Out For’ lists, you’d be mental to miss their ridiculously catchy indie-pop melodies before they make it big.

Dreamy local four-piece Kyotoya have been making a name for themselves supporting the likes of Joey Fourr and Horsebeach, and it seems hard work does pay off; they’ve only gone and bagged themselves a headline slot at The Old Pint Pot. With SpenglerDeath Profess_r and Ronald Raygun completing the lineup, what better night could you ask for that costs absolutely nothing?

The ever experimental dirge project Irma Vep – brainchild of Manchester’s Edwin Stevens – seems to be only on the up. In between numerous local support slots and the release of January’s debut EP No Handshake Blues, Stevens has found the time to fit in a headline show on Friday with support from Former Bullies and Toucans. Head on over to Gullivers to bag yourself a treat of an evening.

He came out of nowhere to collaborate with A$AP Rocky on 2015’s At. Long. Last. A$AP, and it seems that London’s Joe Fox isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Described by Fallow Cafe themselves as a mix between Rodriguez and The Black Keys, make sure you check out the venue on Saturday if soulful-country acoustic is right up your street.
