Who wouldn’t want a rare Pollock over a Van Gogh print? Abstract, unusual and expressive over normal, replicable boredom any day. The new track and video for Playacting’s ‘Upward Mobility’ is just that.
Manchester-based Evan Wilson goes under the Playacting moniker when creating his unique form of electro/folk-pop. Strong drums present peculiar rhythms throughout acting as the foundation for distorted synths, acoustic guitar echoing Wilson’s eloquent vocals.
Playacting play Manchester’s Fallow Café 20th October for their split album launch party with Elle Mary & the Bad Men and Irma Vep as support. Click ‘Going’ here.
We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the video below, what a treat.
‘Upward Mobility’ is taken from Tekla//Playacting Split Release out via Super Smash Hit Records on the 20th October. Pre-order it here.
