LeeFest: The Neverland Playlist

This week we have gone to The Neverland for some synths, guitars, folk, a bit of hip hop and some happy vibes.

LeeFest’s very own Lee Denny has had this playlist flown in from The Neverland to our desk in order for us to share it with you all.

The playlist is made up of twenty acts that are playing at LeeFest: The Neverland this year; including the likes of Lianne La Havas (who headlines the festival), Ghostpoet, Spring King, Beaty Heart, Shura & more.

My recommendation; give the playlist a listen while you read the information below. Use the link at the bottom of the post to buy yourself a ticket (or here if your mind is already made up) and then visit The Neverland from the 28-30th of July. I’ll see you there!

Cementing their position as the leading independent festival for cultural favourites and the undiscovered future superstars, LeeFest Presents: The Neverland announces its largest lineup to date, headed up by the soul-soothing tones of Lianne La Havas.

Rising from the same South London streets which saw the very first LeeFest take place in the back-garden of founder Lee Denny, Lianne La Havas stands as an untouchable enigma, leading the new wave of British soul with her delicate tales of heartbreak and triumph. Recent album “Blood” has seen Lianne take her sound around the world, touching the lives of many and culminating in huge landmark shows including sold-out NIGHTS Brixton Academy and the illustrious Royal Albert Hall. Acclaimed, revered and loved in equal measures, the Mercury Prize and Grammy Award-nominated wordsmith will be headlining an extremely special Saturday night at LeeFest Presents: The Neverland in a celebration not to be missed.

2016 marks 10 years since the original LeeFest kicked off in the back garden of founder Lee Denny. The Neverland represents the next chapter in their unparalleled story, standing as the culmination of the dreams of thousands in the snowballing LeeFest community. Separated into three distinct realms, it promises a fantastical immersive adventure across the weekend.

Submerged in neon coating and sun-kissed horizons, Mermaids Lagoon will be the go-to destination for all those seeking the Club Tropicana high-life of cocktails, sunshine and pristine clarity. Dive into the bright lights of 80s glam in all its prime, with the beautiful people and luminous vibes of sunshine by the beach and margaritas on tap, as a vivid soundtrack of pop music serenades the pool bathers. For those seeking opulence and extravagance, a dip into Mermaids Lagoon is the height of decadence and thrilling glamour.

A futuristic dystopia, Skull Ridge lies in The Neverland shadows – a living embodiment of shadowy fantasies and mind-blowing attractions. Corruption and lawlessness are rife and the pounding, relentless soundtrack of bass, grunge and punk reigns supreme. Mob rule and darkness are ever present in this sprawling part of The Neverland that is unforgiving and unrepentant.

The Neverwoods boasts some of the finest scenery in the whole of The Neverland, with panoramic natural vistas and a place of tranquillity, nourishment and well-being. Stroll through the picturesque frames of the ambient forests whilst becoming one with the wonderful nature flowing throughout and embrace new music, arts and crafts in a no nonsense paradise celebrating good times and joy.

The Neverland is now open for lost boys and girls to take their definitive journey into the never-ending party waiting for them, and with super early-bird tickets selling out in record LeeFest time, a new batch of earlybird tickets are now available starting from £80.

With a Friday Night Headliner still to be announced, alongside a diverse range of dance titans and extremely special unannounced secret shows, The Neverland is set to be the defining independent festival of the summer.

Escaping the confines of the real world, the Neverland’s kingdom of infinite wonder awaits, allowing all of us an opportunity to escape and pursue our dream to never grow old.
