Over the last year, the post grunge foursome have built up a fearsome live reputation as they toured the UK relentlessly before embarking on a slew of dates with kindred spirits LIFE and seeing off the year with a triumphant show at This Feeling, where the band were chosen as the coveted indie night’s tip for 2015. Mary Joanna: And bringing the cool and calm before the Storms, MUK KLUB will represent the talent of its home city with a set from rising Manchester trio: Mary Joanna. Fronted by the captivating Mary Joanna Coogan (vox), with brother Will on bass and programming, and partner Stephen Evans on guitar, the band evoke a sound steeped in the spaciness of The Cocteau Twins whilst reminiscent of the classic indie song craft and sass of Blondie or The Primitives. No strangers to the live stage and with musical CV’s bejewelled with band history (Mary Joanna is also the unmistakeable front-woman for Southern Electrikk, whilst Stephen has laid down licks for Twisted Wheel, The Planets, Southern and ZX+), the trio will be showing off their experience in the field to MUK KLUB crowds.

New York Tourists: Exploding on to the scene with their visceral single “Chew Me Up, Spit Me Out”, New York Tourists turned heads from the word go. Ranked it as one of the BBC Introducing’s top 10 tracks of 2013 and featuring on an EP released to rave reviews, from there the band have continued to go from strength to strength. Notching up explosive support slots with the likes of The Subways, The View, The Sunshine Underground, We Are Scientists and Buzzcocks the band channelled their Queen’s of The Stone Age meet Foals racket into festival slaying gold with triumphant performances at Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival, Kendal Calling and a record deal clinching Alternative Stage headline performance at Blackburn Festival. Snapped up by London’s Kittiwake Records immediately after the latter, the label released their’ second EP `Dead Man’s Leather` to glowing reviews.
