MUK KLUB – A New Manchester Clubnight

Clubnights of Manchester are not something that usually catch my eye, I must admit.  But this upcoming one from MUK Records is one that did.  Running Bi monthly on the first friday of each second month (Feb, April, Jun.. etc etc) MUK KLUB will take artists that are signed to the MUK label and put them live on stage at Manchester’s Night and Day cafe.

The reason it caught my eye is because the first event will be headlined by Berlin Berlin, a band that are currently causing a bit of a stir within the city.  Support on the evening will come from Cold Committee and FACE.  Entry is £5 and tickets can be bought from here.  Below you will find some more info about the first one that will take place on February 6th.

The inaugural bash next month (February 6th 2015) will kick off with a tantalising array of artists primed and ready for greatness in 2015 – catch them here first!

Headlining the special event will be Manchester’s own electronic tripsters Berlin Berlin who will be offering those in attendance a sneak preview of tracks set to adorn their highly anticipated 2015 debut LP. Taking inspiration from everyone and everything from Aphex Twin to Dennis Wilson to Spiritualized, the anthemic space-dance grooves of debut single ‘Josef’ have been hailed by Xfm, Digital Spy and more. After stripe earning performances under the mighty Miles Kane, Superfood and Beady Eye, MUK have managed to collar Welsh alt-rockers Cold Committee for a blistering support slot on the opening MUK KLUB night. Set to air tracks from their triumphant 2014 debut EP at the show, those formerly unfamiliar with the barbed riffery of much lauded single ‘Masquerade’ will no doubt be left scouring the internet for more once struck by this infectious piece of guitar pop.

And finally, granted the honours of opening up proceedings are the fresh faced newcomers, FACE, as they pop their live performance cherry at the very first MUK KLUB. A four piece hailing from London and Glasgow and hurled together in a Mancunian catalyst, their intoxicating blend of indie and electronica promises to bring the sonic fireworks required to get the club night series off to a trail-blazing beginning.
